What Size Luxury Yacht Do YOU Want?

People are willing to pay enormous amounts of money for the following things:

Primary homes
Vacation homes
Exotic vacations
Cars and trucks
Recreational vehicles and boats (including luxury yachts)
Cosmetic surgery
Expensive jewelry
Designer clothes
Fine dining
Club memberships
Tickets to concerts and sporting events

The list goes on and on…

I guess I should add a quality education, perhaps at a private school or Ivy League college, to the list. That comes with a very hefty price tag, too.

Sadly, very few people are interested in “paying” what it costs to develop a close and intimate relationship with God. Why is that? Well, I’m glad you asked!

You see, a close relationship with God doesn’t come naturally, easily, or immediately. On the contrary, it is something that develops over time and requires a lot of discipline and self-sacrifice. And yes, sometimes it is only achieved through painful trials and other times of testing.

Here is how Os Hillman, the author of today’s quote, sums up this process…
