I Know, That I Know, That I Know

“To know that nothing happens in God’s world apart from God’s will may frighten the godless, but it stabilizes the saints.” – J.I. Packer
Either God is sovereign… or He isn’t.
Either God is on His throne… or He isn’t.
Either God is in complete and utter control… or He isn’t.
These are some of life’s ultimate questions… and once you have answered them in the affirmative, everything else falls into place.
I am completely, unequivocally, and irrevocably convinced that God is 100% sovereign and 100% in control. And yes, He sits today on the same throne He has always sat on – and always will sit on – from eternity past to eternity future.
His Word tells me that and so does His Holy Spirit, conveying His eternal truth to my finite mind and spirit. I accept the former by faith and experience the latter on a daily basis.
No human argument will convince me otherwise nor will life’s troubles, trials, and tribulations dissuade me or cause me to doubt Him.
Simply put, I know that I know that I know… and that is enough for me.
“For this reason, even though I suffer as I do, I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him for that day.” 2 Timothy 1:12 (BSB)
