Beginning 2026 with a Song in Your Heart
Tuesday, December 30, 2025
“There is absolutely no circumstance in which God is not present.” – Os Hillman
Tomorrow is the last day of 2025. Overall, I would say that “It Was a Very Good Year” for my family and me as well as for our ministry. But who knows what 2026 will hold?
GOD does!
And “Because He Lives”, you and I can face tomorrow… and the day after that… and the day after that with absolute, unshakable confidence in the “Rock of Ages.”
Now don’t get me wrong. God doesn’t promise that every day will be filled with nothing but sunshine and white billowy clouds overhead, let alone “Pennies from Heaven.” On the contrary, as the old song says, “Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall.” However, the key is knowing and remembering two things.
First, that “The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow”… or eventually, so hang in there a little while longer. And second, that Jesus promises to never abandon us during times of “Stormy Weather.” That means that we can go through life “With a Song in My Heart” every “Night and Day.”
I’m sure that I can come up with a few more corny play-on-words that involve song titles, but I think you get the idea. The future is not to be feared because God is already there.
And so, my friend, enjoy what is left of 2025 and begin 2026 with your heart overflowing with optimism, joy, hope, and peace. God is in complete control… and Jesus is coming back soon!
“Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your hearts to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 5:19-20 (BSB)
“Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. If I take up the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, Even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will take hold of me.” Psalm 139:7-10 (NASB)
