Kentucky Prison Project

Risk Takers Blitz the Bluegrass State

From the time we left Vero Beach in the wee hours of the morning on July 30th, to the time we pulled back into town on August 5th, our Kentucky Prison Project mission team traveled almost 3,000 road miles and impacted more than 1,500 inmate lives.

In between those dates, we ministered in five different prisons including the maximum security Kentucky State Penitentiary and conducted the following ministry activities:

  • Six strength shows featuring the Lifted in Faith powerlifting team from Shreveport, Louisiana.
  • Five basketball games including three back to back games on the same day
  • Five softball games
  • Four chapel services

Response cards and thank you notes are still coming in from inmates that we met on our trip as well as from prison chaplains, administrators and recreation directors all of whom have invited us to return as soon as possible.

Special thanks to everyone who made our Kentucky Prison Project such a tremendous success through your prayers and financial support.
